A doen\u00e7a pode:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>aumentar o risco de acidentes e morte s\u00fabita;<\/li>\n<li>trazer problemas de sa\u00fade mental, como ansiedade e depress\u00e3o;<\/li>\n<li>causar dificuldades no trabalho e na vida social.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cerca de 30% dos pacientes n\u00e3o respondem bem aos tratamentos dispon\u00edveis e continuam tendo crises.<\/p>\n<p><strong>O que \u00e9 o cenobamato ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>O cenobamato \u00e9 um rem\u00e9dio antiepil\u00e9ptico. Ele ajuda a diminuir a atividade el\u00e9trica anormal no c\u00e9rebro. Isso reduz a chance de novas crises.<\/p>\n<p>Os estudos mostraram que o medicamento reduziu as crises de forma importante:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>40% dos pacientes que tomaram 100 mg por dia tiveram diminui\u00e7\u00e3o de pelo menos 50% das crises.<\/li>\n<li>64% dos que tomaram 400 mg por dia tiveram a mesma melhora.<\/li>\n<li>No grupo que tomou placebo, a melhora foi de 26%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>O medicamento n\u00e3o deve ser usado por pessoas com s\u00edndrome do QT curto familiar, uma altera\u00e7\u00e3o gen\u00e9tica rara que pode causar arritmias<\/p>\n<p>Quando o medicamento estar\u00e1 dispon\u00edvel?<br \/>\nMesmo com o registro aprovado, Xcopri \u00ae s\u00f3 poder\u00e1 ser vendido ap\u00f3s a defini\u00e7\u00e3o do pre\u00e7o m\u00e1ximo pela CMED.
